LeBlond Regal 10” geared-head lathe, with sliding & surfacing power feeds and thread-cutting gearbox. It is mounted on the original cast iron stand. There are numerous accessories with the lathe, the main features of which are listed below.
Motor: Single phase 240V, lever-operated forward/reverse switch.
Work holding: Pratt 8” 3-jaw and Elliott 6” 3-jaw, both with internal and external jaws. Burnerd 8” 4-jaw chuck with reversible jaws. 8” slotted face plate, smaller plain face plate, spindle nose protector, spindle indexing fixture. There is also a vertical slide.
Tool holding: original cross-slide plus two tee-slotted cross-slides (one currently fitted with digital vernier and remote read-out). 3-way and 4-way traditional tool posts. Quick-change tool post with 6 assorted tool holders. Rear-mount tool post with 2-way tool holder.
Tooling: Assorted indexable tools and boring bars with numerous spare inserts. Several TCT tools, some unused, and numerous HSS tools ground to a variety of profiles. Two knurling tools and several parting tools. Tailstock live and dead centres, two drill chucks, with keys to suit, and a keyless chuck. There is also a copy of the LeBlond owner’s manual and the book “Running the Regal Lathe”.
This lathe still produces very accurate work and can be seen running by arrangement. Collection only from Derby area
