Advert Description

Boscastle studio pottery
Two small ‘tankard’ mugs 3¾” (95mm) in height and one small posy vase of the same height. Mocha ware blue skyline design. Following the terrible flood of August 2004 we visited the village in July 2005 to support the community and purchased the three items. All have the Boscastle pottery circular impressed stamp, RIL stamp and date stamp of 2005. Never used, just displayed. Non smoking home.

Boscastle Pottery was established in 1967 by Roger Irving Little (RIL) who has since been joined by his son, Tim (TIL)
The pottery specialises in Mocha ware. This is a technique where "mocha tea" is applied to wet slip. The tea runs through the slip creating a tree or fern-like pattern. The tea contains a staining agent. Traditionally tobacco was used for this but nowadays coffee or various chemical recipes are used instead
Price for the 3.
P&P would be an extra
