Advert Description

Oxfam Bookshop Brigg Chris Foster is considered to be one of the best performers to emerge from the British folk scene in the 1970s and is known for the fine quality of his voice. He has toured extensively throughout the UK, Europe and the US, appearing at festivals concerts, clubs and on radio and TV. In the sleeve notes for this, his first, album, folk singer June Tabor describes Chris Foster's voice as "...distinctive... deep but clear with a faint overlay of his native Somerset, and a vocal style that incorporates a subtle use of decoration with an intricate and exciting sense of rhythmic patterns". The album sleeve, notable for its chickens in psychedelic colours, has some light general handling marks and indentations on the surface, and slight rubbing to corners. The inner poly-sleeve is white, with slight tanning around edges. The stereo record appears to have been little played, as indicated by the lack of spindle marks and the immaculate track surface. Chris Foster has signed the back of the album above his name, with the words, "All the best". A very nice item for folk fans and collectors. See Oxfam website for delivery information
