Advert Description

1979 reg, 33000 miles, Manual 1485cc PETROL, 4 door Saloon, GOLD. Finished in metallic champagne, with contrasting hide interior. Chassis number VF4SJ-454238A -Engine No.6641. This superb VDP Allegro was featured on Corry with Ken Morley; very kitsche and apparently, it has quite a BBC history. Morley played Reg Holdsworth in Coronation Street in the early 90's and was clearly a man with aspirations. The Allegro appeared on camera, only to surface once again in Royston Vasey, the fictional village in The League of Gentleman driven by Mark Gatiss AKA Alvin Steele, where it played quite a part in the story line. That aside, she is in extremely nice, show winning condition. The car is in exceptional order and must be one of the best, if not the best out there. Offered complete with DVLA MOT history confirming that it had covered just 32,142 miles by 2002, a further Irish Test Certificate showing that this had increased to just 32,709 by 2012. It now reads 33,884 which is understood to be correct. It also comes with a handbook. A rare chance to own a piece of automotive history ,
