Oxfam Shop Huddersfield FOUR SCRAPBOOKS - ELVIS PRESLEY SCRAPBOOKS 2 Elvis Presley scrapbooks with clippings from popular magazines, fanzines and mainstream newspapers throughout the early 1970s. Two with clippings to covers and 70+ pages featuring Elvis in concert, at home and in films. Mostly black and white, with handwritten lines from hit songs and amateur drawings of Elvis. One page has SIGNED letter by TODD SLAUGHTER from the Heanor Record Centre expressing thanks for the submission of a drawing for the Elvis Special 1977. [Todd Slaughter had run the Elvis Presley fan Club since 1967] Another SIGNED letter from Albert Hand Publications Ltd. Dated october 1975 again saying thank you for the offer of a drawing for Elvis Monthly. [Albert Hand sold the Elvis Presley Fan Club to Todd Slaughter in 1967] Laid in is the first newsletter from The International Elvis Presley Fan Club, Leeds, dated April/May 1968. 20pp stapled, printed paper copy titled “Big Boss Man”. SIGNED at rear by WENDY. Another two 70+ page scrapbooks, one with Presley to the cover. Each packed with scraps from a variety of sources featuring all the popular cultural icons of the period from TV, radio, music and beyond.
