This is a hand-knotted Heriz rug, made of durable, natural materials. Imperfections in the patterns and shape make this rug unique and emphasise its authentic and traditional character. Heriz is located in the north-west of Iran. You can recognise a Heriz rug by its rectangular medallion and angular border patterns. These are very durable rugs, made of high-quality wool on a cotton warp (bobbin thread). Heriz rugs are excellent carpets for daily use, with high durability, and especially suitable for spaces with lots of foot traffic. Later on, Heriz carpets were also made in India, then they are called Oriental rugs. This is a used rug, which has become more beautiful and richer in character due to the natural ageing process. This rug was imported from Iran before 1990. Condition: Beautiful condition. Main colour: Red, blue and off-white.Accent colours: Off-green and yellow. Details: Rich abrash (mutually natural colour variations); Wonderfully, naturally worn due to use. Signs of wear: Slight discolourations. Please view the photos for your own assessment. This lot will be shipped registered, with Track & Trace. 22474395
