Considering the keyword of training of the Poro society is women’s fecundity associated to the ground’s fertility for agriculture, it is not surprising that the Senufo had a predilection to sculpt women’s bodies, sign of all tributes, open to the creation and to the future of the group. Sitting on a round seat, sometimes (and sometimes not) at the end of an emblematic cane, her face is carefully carved with curvilinear cheeks oriented towards the tip of the chin. The semi-closed eyes are inlaid in the eyebrows, the nose bridge is straight, the mouth is barely drawn. The oblong, tense breasts are placed high. The bust is classically arched.
