Oxfam Bookshop Newport, Isle of Wight It is no accident that the third quarter of the eighteenth century is the period when the costume of children begins to be distinguishable from that of their elders. In previous ages, children had not been looked upon as children but as incomplete and inferior men and women. Former school library book with associated stamps and markings. Clear plastic covered and paper backed dust jacket with some pen marks, scuffs and chips. Green textured boards in very good condition, with silver text on spine. Damage to front end pastedown from removal of sticker and front end paper has been removed. Text block contains no annotation or marginalia. See Oxfam website for delivery information
