Aunt Louisa's Jumble Book of Pictures and Stories for Little Folk - Frederick Warne.
London: Frederick Warne and Co. circa 1903. pp 93.
Silky paper covered card with metallic sheen: this would have been a very handsome book when new. Boards are scuffed, frayed and damp stained; spine rubbed to an eggshell sheen. Titles to front and spine: Aunt Louisa's Jumble Picture-Book for Children.
The book was given to Leonard Robinson for good conduct etc., having achieved the impressive total of "104 marks out of 104", as noted on the handsome presentation certificate on the paste down, Jan 12th 1903, in flowing copperplate.
Inner hingeline badly cracked: webbing clearly shows; similar to rear board.
Some pages torn to 5 cms. All pages tanned and spotted. Nicely illustrated in pencil.
