This is the first part of a collection of the writings of Jean Waldie, a newspaper journalist and local historian based in Brantford in Brant County, Ontario, Canada. Born in Toronto, she joined the staff of the Brantford Expositor in 1943 and contributed many historical articles to this and other publications, later becoming the President of both the Brant Historical Society and the Ontario Historical Society. This work contains dozens of short articles on various subjects related to the history of Brant County, giving a fascinating account of the settlement and later development of this area.
Condition: Paperback with green cardboard covers. Minor creasing to corners and scored areas to covers, otherwise minimal wear, pages clean and bright, binding strong.
