T. Vine. Practical Bread-making. Published from the Office of the 'Baker and Confectioner'. 1905. 3rd Edition. 245pp. Stiff card covers. Very good condition for a book of this type. Sound and unmarked, only a little faded. Frontspiece plate of two 'Trophies in Bread' and numerous pencil illustrations.
Sub-titled 'A Useful Guide for All in the Trade' so not intended for the amateur breadmakers who now proliferate who, however, might profit from Fred Vine's advice. He appears to have been a prolific writer on confectionary and cakes as well as bread. Usual fascinating advertisments at front and back and authoritative Preface by the Editor of Baker and Confectioner.
