The Institute is an independent, non-profit making organisation, registered as a charity. Established in 1891, for the best part of the next century it played an important role in the development of the laboratory aspects of preventive medicine. This book tells the story of the Institute from its modest beginnings to the present day.
Includes black & white photographs, a timeline of key dates and an index. A supplement, a stapled booklet, of key research fellows is included.
Complete with dust jacket, which is lightly faded on the spine. In very good condition, clean with a fairly tight binding. The booklet supplement is lightly yellowed.
