The author, (Robert) Geoffrey Trease (1909 – 1998) was a prolific British writer who published 113 books, mainly historical fiction for children, between 1934 and 1997.
This novel is set in Norway and in England where Roger is hoping to become apprenticed to a stone mason. Then Roger learns of his father's probable death and his adventures begin.
Some rubbing wear to the cover and discolouration to the spine, which is slightly skewed. Still in a clean condition with a sound binding.
