The Glasgow School of Art is proud to have been asked to arrange the first exhibition in Japan of original works by the Scottish architect, artist and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The Japan Art & Culture Association took the initiative to bring the exhibition into existence and the School offers its sincerest congratulations to JACA for ensuring the success of the exhibition at three locations in Japan. Fumiko Noro, Director of JACA, Nobuo Nakamura and Hiroaki Kimura deserve our appreciation for their imaginative planning for the exhibition, and the School expresses its thanks for the courtesy and care shown by Isetan Museum, Tokyo, Fujisaki Museum, Sendai and Daimaru museum, Osaka.
