Graham Greene's classic story of a renegade Roman Catholic 'whisky priest' living in the Mexican state of Tabasco in the 1930s, a time when the Mexican government was attempting to suppress the Catholic Church. Buff board covers (no dust jacket), worn and scuffed. Library bookplate inside front cover, and two small library annotations on back of title page, but text is otherwise clean and unmarked throughout. Paper discoloured commensurate with age but otherwise in good condition for a book over 60 years old.
