Dr. John Radcliffe and his Trust by Ivor Guest - "The Radcliffe Trust holds a unique position among today's grant-making foundations, being by far the oldest of them all. It derives from the fortune made by Dr John Radcliffe, who died in 1713, leaving the bulk of his estate for its income to be applied for general charitable purposes."
There is possibly a signature of Ivor Guest (not certified) on the title page under his name.
The book has been inspected under strong light and graded Good using AbeBooks grading guide. The dust jacket on the front has surface scuffs and indentations sporadically, none go through or pierce the jacket but they are noticeable, there are a couple parts where the print has come off in dots and the edges are a bit creased and scuffed. The corners are worn and creased due to shelf wear and handling and the top right corner is dented and scuffed to the point where some of the print has come off and torn a bit. The spine similarly has dents and indentations and the top and bottom edges are scuffed and creased, as are the corners and there are some early signs of foxing (discolouration). The back has again indentations dents and scuffing and edges are mildly worn, the corners are creased and a little dented but mainly the upper left corner has a tear due to mishandling and some more very early signs of foxing. The hard back itself has some damage in the form of tiny dents/holes on the spine and corners and spine top and bottom edges are slightly whitened and fraying and the corners have slightly curled under as well. The front end paper has a 8 line message on it to the previous book owner, in blue ink and 3 pages in (title page) has a signature by Ivor Guest however there is no certification to prove its authenticity. The rest of the pages appear in very good condition and there a few marks and smudges on the pages outside (when closed) that are due to general usage.
