The Complete Poems of Richard Aldington. Allan Wingate. Hdbk. 1948. No dust-jacket. Blue cloth boards. Spine faded, endpapers slightly foxed, pages going a little brown at the edges, but otherwise a fine clear reading copy.
Aldington's poems have not worn well on the whole, though he was an influential member of the Imagist school of poetry in his day, and his war poems are still often included in anthologies. This is a good sturdy 'Collected', and will be of interest to literary historians of his period, as well as to the general reader.
