This gorgeous 1950s full length evening dress by british designer Frank Usher is just stunning - made from a heavy brocade fabric in a grey-cream colour with swirls of gold through the floral pattern. The sleeveless fitted bodice has a built in boned corset to keep everything in place, and there is a rear zip to fasten. There are2 darts running down the front of the bodice, partway down the skirt, and fabric to either side of the darts has been gathered in, forming a small ruffle detail. The long heavy skirt has a separate underskirt, made of a stiff fabric, which helps to hold the skirt out, giving it more volume. Considering it is 60 or 70 years old, the dress is in great condition - there are a couple of rust marks to the front of the skirt near the right side dart, but it is not very noticeable. Pair this beautiful gown with some long gloves, delicate heels and a really fancy updo, and you are Ball ready!
