This is a collection of ten issues (issues 31 to 40 inclusive) of World War 1914-1918 A Pictured History, a weekly magazine that was published in 1934 detailing the events of the First World War with illustrated articles. This group of issues mainly cover the events from late 1916 to mid 1917, covering the on-going Battle of the Somme (August 1916) to the Battle of Messines (June 1917). This magazine does not focus on the Western Front but also looks at the other fronts as well, such as those in the Balkans, Egypt and the skies above Britain. The photographs are all in black and white. The magazines are in good condition, with only minor wear to their spines and other limited signs of wear. Internally the pages are clean, the binding secure and the illustrations clear.
