'Drawings of British Plants'  - Parts I to VIII (consecutive volumes) - plate illustrations of the species of flowering plants growing naturally in the British Isles, by Stella Ross-Craig, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Detailed black and white illustrations of flowering and fruiting plants (see images 4 and 5 for examples).

Volumes published between 1948 and 1955: 3 of the volumes' covers are shown on images 1-3. 

In general, all eight items are in good condition, with no highlighting or other notes. Inside all volumes, text and images are clean and bright. Intact spines. A scarce collectable set.

Part 1  - Ranunculaceae. Foreward by Sir Edward Salisbury, Director of Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Item shows some wear and tear to softcover, with damage to top and bottom of spine ends, and browning to edges.

Part 2  - Berberidaceae, Nymphaeaceae, Papaveraceae, Fumariaceae. Foreward by Sir Edward Salisbury. Item has some browning to cover and minor foxing to page edges.  

Part 3  - Cruciferae. Foreward by Sir Edward Salisbury. Item has some browning to cover and shelf wear to spine. 

Part 4 - Resedaceae, Cistaceae, Violaceae, Polygalaceae, Frankeniaceae. Item shows minor wear to cover commensurate with age. 

Part 5  - Caryophyllaceae. Item shows minor wear to cover commensurate with age.

Part 6 - Portulacaceae - Aceraceae. Item shows minor wear to cover commensurate with age.

Part 7 - Leguminosae. Item shows minor wear to cover commensurate with age.

Part 8 - Rosaceae (1). Item shows minor wear to cover commensurate with age.
