This volume in the History of the Royal Regiment of Artillery series details the story of the appearance of a new form of artillery, unlike anything that had gone before, ie the engagement of high speed targets in 3-D space. This is not a highly technical account but discusses the problems involved and the efforts of the men and later women involved in protecting cities at home and armies in the field from enemy aircraft. Illustrated with photographs and maps of various campaigns. This copy is in excellent condition except for some minor 'lifting' on the edges of the dust-jacket.
