Harald Vlugt was educated as a sculptor at the Art Academy d'Witte Lelie in Amsterdam and worked abroad for a number of years after finishing his studies in 1981. (Egypt, New York and Sao Paolo). The Netherlands is still too small and he regularly works abroad, where he also teaches. He exhibits very regularly, but almost exclusively abroad. As early as 1991/92, a retrospective of his work was held in Schiedam, Paris and Herblay, from work he made in the last 10 years. He has also designed applied art such as benches, door handles, lighting etc. for the copy of the Huis ten Bosch in Nagasaki. His works are included in important private and public collections in the Netherlands and abroad. He also occasionally makes graphic art.
