I discovered this lovely antique Wedgwood Pale Blue Solid Jasper Ware Round Shaped Trinket Box with Fluted edges amongst some of my mum's belongings. I would think it is from the 1950's/1960's or maybe 1970's? It has the Incised "WEDGWOOD
and Codes stamped on the underside" and which will most likely date it?
Finished in a matte Wedgwood blue background with a central neoclassical cameos in white relief, bordered by laurel leaves and flora. Josiah Wedgwood’s iconic designs, made from Jasper Ware, so called because of the mineral that gives it its colouring, is a material and techniques that Josiah Wedgwood himself perfected in the mid-eighteenth century
