An ornate and complete, 12 covers, Chinese silver plate on copper dinner service and tableware set for sale by best offer.

I purchased this set from the British Army when they were vacating Hong Kong in 1996/7.

The service was kept and used in the officer’s mess on Stonecutters Island.

The set is in good condition but does require polishing.
Some pieces are showing areas of copper where they have been over-polished.

The service consists of:
• Oval meat salver with lid 25"x 15"
• Circular Vegetable dish with removal rim and lid 12" Diameter
• Oval Meat Rim with lid 12" x 8"
• Circular cake or similar platter with lid 11" Diameter
• 2 x circular resting salvers each 5" diameter
• 12 x Chines bowls with handles
• 12 x Chinese spoons
• 12 x ornate spoon rests
• 2 x serving spoon rests
• 1 x Ladle
• 2 x Serving spoons (one forked)
