This is a lovely book with interesting descriptions of the selected villages, fascinating stories about the places and delightful pen and ink drawings. This volume would be of great interest to anyone interested in Kent and its villages. It would also interest all those with an interest in the social history of England at the turn of the 19th century. The book is in very good condition for its age. The powder blue cover is faded and there is scuffing on the edges. The spine and covers are firm and the pages are good.
