PRICE REDUCED AGAIN ....FOR SALE ONLY Now.
my garden apartment in a very pretty 'Moorish' and traditional Spanish whitewashed mountain village/small town of Competa in Malaga, on the Costa del Sol, in what is still 'Hidden Spain' in many ways.
Formerly a very large village house on the edge of Competa, I converted the property in 2004 into two large apartments with separate Title Deeds. I sold the upper apartment some years ago to an English retiree and
remained in the private garden apartment with my dog for many years until I returned to the UK
because of my elderly mother and her care and now rarely use my Spanish home. It has not been abandoned or not maintained during my time in the UK. I have a couple look after the maintenance and garden.
This is real Spain but bang up to date with all the modern facilities of a small town. 10 mins.stroll
from the tranquility of my home brings you to the busy bustling centre of the village with its shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants of all types, internet cafes, hardware stores, health centre with weekend emergency callout and ambulance service, plus schools, banks, dentists, English supermarkets, Public Swimming Pool, etc. It really is all there. Still very Moorish and a very historic village, sympathetic to its Spanish history, very friendly where all nationalities mix freely with the Spanish locals. The Spanish Town Hall has set up many interests for its foreign residents including learning Spanish! The busy and more expensive Costas are just 20 mins. away, the closest being the beautiful beaches of Torrox Costa, with Nerja just 10 mins. from there. Malaga Airport is a hour from my home.
My house stands in 133 square metres on the edge of the village on the way out of town. Almost in the campo.
It is a corner semi-detached house with its own circular and long balcony with wonderful vistas, and it is 95 sq. metres, walled and private. 0f course, it can be totally terraced if one wishes with sail covers and sun chairs!
From here there are unobstructed views to the park below, the mountains and countryside. The apartment and garden are sunny all day.
The house and garden are all one level with an arc of wide steps outside leading from the garden to the 6' gate and into the cul de sac street. There is no house beyond mine nor in front of the large garden, just views.
The living space is 88 sq. metres and renovated to open plan. It offers 2 good size double bedrooms (formerly three before renovation) one with a wall to wall good quality wardrobe, a large living room with door to the garden, from the living room it leads to a separate large sunny dining room (which was the bedroom) a breakfast bar, kitchen and good size bathroom with 4 pce. bathroom suite.
All the floors are tiled. There are several windows, mostly looking onto the garden and mountains, which create a bright, airy, cheerful, and sunny atmosphere. The windows have white aluminium shutters ( all were new) and outer safety metal security grilles. All recently painted. There is a long and wide storage area running alongside the house which would accommodate another bedroom or 2nd bathroom if wished.
The garden is also large enough to also accommodate a plunge pool and gazebo.
Gardens are rare to find in traditional spanish houses. They usually offer hot roof terraces never suitable for pets. Electrical work is up to date, as is the plumbing.
There is a landline, broadband to install is easy and there is satellite tv. Parking is almost outside the door. Full legal Title Deeds are with my Lawyer. All necessary documentation for Land Registry is up to date, as are Town Hall requirements of Water/Basura, council rates (IBI) of 120 euros per annum and the Electricity is still connected. The new mandatory Energy Certificate has also been completed. This is a lawful requirement when selling a home in Spain now. The house is mortgage and debt free and ready for a smooth transfer. This property is Freehold. There are NO community charges of any kind. The apartment is totally legal with Escritura .
