I discovered these three antique Wedgwood Pale Blue Solid Jasper Ware Diamond Shaped trays amongst some of my mum's belongings. I would think are from the 1950's/1960's? and are classed as either Pin Trays or Ashtrays? All trays have an Incised "WEDGWOOD
and Codes stamped on the underside" and which will most likely date them?
Finished in a matte Wedgwood blue background with central neoclassical cameos in white relief, bordered by laurel leaves and flora. Josiah Wedgwood’s iconic designs, made from Jasper Ware, so called because of the mineral that gives it its colouring, is a material and techniques that Josiah Wedgwood himself perfected in the mid-eighteenth century
All Items have an Incised "WEDGWOOD
Stamped the the underside".
All Trays are in Excellent Condition.
There are No Surface Marks and No Chips, Cracks or Crazing and No Damage to any of the Reliefs. Will split if necessary but prefer to sell as one lot.
I am selling other items of Wedgwood Jasperware - please see listings - and would be happy to combine.
