Random Tumbled Building Stone – BMQ Sandstone
6 dumpy bag fulls available
BMQ random tumbled building stone is a premium quality sandstone. It is quarried from Tybubach Quarry at the foot of the Black Mountains, on the border of England and Wales. Its colouring is a combination of cool greys, green and warm rustic browns tones that work exceptionally well together.
BMQ random tumbled sandstone is an exceptional quality natural stone, it is relatively thin and naturally flat-bedded, and as such is easy to work with and highly popular with trade professionals.
Random tumbled building stone is put through a tumbling process to soften its faces and edges.
The sandstone has been used throughout Herefordshire for centuries. The random tumbled building stone has a naturally time-worn and weathered appearance, and as such is an ideal match for restoration and renovation work on existing buildings.
For new builds, the BMQ random building stone is a popular choice when it is important (e.g. for local authority approval) to use building materials that preserve and reflect historic character.
The stone is cropped to the standard 100mm – 150mm (4-6 inch) bed width. One bag will provide approximately enough material for 3 to 3.5 square metres of facing stone. A wastage allowance of 10% should always be calculated into your figures when ordering.
Stone was surplus to requirements so has therefore been re-bagged in to dumpy bags ready for sale.
