I am selling this Victorian vintage oil painting on canvas signed and dated 1896, in its original 19th century heavy gilt frame, which I have owned for sometime.
The painting is titled "Discussing the Situation" by Edgar Bundy (see photos attached) and depicts a "Civil War" scene with characters having a discussion.
The frame measures 105 x 84 cms approx, so it is quite large, and heavy. The frame has some minor chips on the corners consistent with age, and would require some minor restoration to make it perfect, if required.
If you are seeking a British vintage oil painting by a well known artist as an investment, then consider this one.
I am only selling this as I have downsized, and it is too large for my property.
