Advert Description
This large pot has been in the family for many years so I know it is old. Originally came from Norfolk. Has been hand thrown by a potter as you can see the throwing lines. Glazed inside which is a cream colour and three quarters down the outside with a clear glaze so retaining the natural terracotta colour. 4 strap handles on the outside. In lovely condition for its age and has a good ringing sound when tapped which shows its not cracked. Stands 19" high and 16.5" wide at the top. Not sure what it was used for but might have been for preserving eggs. Has a wooden lid which being old has some woodworm holes but I have treated it. Would look lovely as a feature in a conservatory or garden.
