?The unique combination of painting and embroidery which is the trademark of Iris's work had aroused interest at craft fairs in Worcester and Malvern for around twenty years.
Her Paintings on Silk, embellished with fine threads and tiny beads reflect her enjoyment of her garden and surrounding countryside. Wild flowers such as poppies and foxgloves frequently feature in her work along with birds, butterflies, dragonflies and trees.
Trained in textile design, Iris has been combining painting, embroidery and air brush work on silk since leaving college. Her cobwebs created of Silver thread and tiny crystal beads add an unusual finishing touch to the work.?
