1849, plate 4, Two Pence (2d.) Blue stamp lettered BB (Stanley Gibbons code SG14).
From the set of stamps printed between 1841-53 (plate numbers 3 & 4), this type E1, imperforate, die I, alphabet I, Small Crown watermarked example was printed using plate 4 which was finished on 29/11/1849 and was put to press early the following month. The imprimateur sheet was dated 06/12/1849.
This is a used, good example cancelled / obliterated by a black, Provincial Town, 1844-type, England and Wales postmark and is made available exclusive of the cost of postage and packaging which will be as follows:
Packaging (small Jiffy bag): £0.14; and
Postage - Royal Mail 'UK Signed' 1st class service for Large Letter up to and including 100g: £3.45; or
Postage - Royal Mail 'UK Signed' 2nd class service for Large Letter up to and including 100g: £3.05.
