Although coinage was not changed to decimal until January 1971 these coins started to be minted in 1968 to ease the production load on the mint.
Although introduced early
between these dates
they were technically not "British currency" but were the same value (and size) as the old 2 shilling coin. For this reason they have some small value.This example is in very good condition and possibly not circulated much as it was in my late father's desk drawer from 1968. Postage to be added to price.
