This sale is for a superb large size (huge) vintage hardback edition entitled “Mrs. Beeton’s Household Management,” subtitled “A Complete Cookery Book,” illustrated with 32 plates in COLOUR, including a FULL PAGE COLOUR frontispiece depicting 8 Hors D’Oeuvre and Savoury Dishes, and nearly 700 other illustrations.
It was published by Ward, Lock & Co., Limited, of London and Melbourne, and is the undated circa mid to late 1920’s New Edition (at the front is an advert for Lemco established 1865 which it states has been used “…for more than 60 years …”).

The book measures 8.5 inches x 6 inches x 3.75 inches and has 1,680 pages (+ 14 pages of vintage cookery related advertisements at the back and colour plates), which are marble flecked to all rims.
The book is in good neat condition for its age, with some wear to the original cloth hardback cover. There are NO inscriptions/book-plates and NO other ink or pencil markings in the book. The binding is very good with no loose or missing pages.
There is no dust-jacket.
A wonderfully illustrated vintage edition.
