Advert Description

This Settee has been with two sets of family members since the 1930's, my parents and myself, making it approximately 82 years in age,
I vaguely remember it being measured and fitted for a cover in satin brocade material in 1952.
1930’s SETTEE measures 76 inches across the top back, 22 inches floor to top of arm. Floor to seat cushion top 19 1/2 inches. Seat inside arm to arm is 63 inches. Seat cushion back to front is 30 inches.
The Grey back cushions fitting the seat area are 4 1/2 in deep, with two grey end cushions.
The Settee also has three matching colour cushions.
It is a very deep settee, so with bad backs we had three grey cushions made to reduce the depth.
The Settee is deep enough without the grey cushions to make an overnight bed.
It also has Shepherd Casters fitted, as due to the solid 1930's workmanship it is solid/heavy to move. It will need three strong men plus the driver to move it into a van for transit.
The colour is a Cerise/Magenta shade, the material is a Dralon Velvet.
The second picture minus the extra grey cushions does not show the true colour (camera error) the other
pictures show the nearest to the colour shade.
This item is for immediate collection after purchase.
There are no problems in moving from room to van, a simple lift out the sliding door and carry along the house
side to the van. A good offer and a preferred BACS payment would make this item a quick track for ownership and collection.
Please ignore map reference, it is grossly inaccurate!!
We are on outside of a town area and on the main trunk road.
I have decided to do a feasibility study of the transport side.
A reliable company to collect a such big item of furniture is difficult.
A few weeks ago I was introduced to a company who collected my item for sale and transported it to a country in Europe.
The Settee MUST have four people to lift it. If the buyer would send
two people to help lift the settee into the van, along with the driver from the company and with my family member to make that up to four people, that would be ideal.
The contract would be with the buyer and to help with the costs of transportation.
The buyer is also responsible for insurance cover for its safe journey.
I am quite happy to have a discussion with the buyer
regarding the cost of transportation.
