Advert Description

Leonie Gibbs trained in Fine Art in Edinburgh and Wimbledon Colleges of Art 1980 - 1984. She has exhibited in the Scottish Royal Academy and in numerous galleries in England and Scotland, including several one man shows in the Bruton Street Gallery. Her work is in numerous private collections in the UK and USA.
Inherited from my mother-in-law, this sculpture was purchased in about 2006 from the Kilmorack Gallery near Beauly in Inverness-shire, Scotland.
The sculpture is of solid bronze. It is one of only nine produced and is marked as such and signed. Please note that the verdigris effect is not as bright green as it appears in the photos.
If you go to the 'Black Isle Bronze Ltd' Facebook page, you can see how one of Leonie's larger sculptures, 'The Gateley Queen', was made.
I have been unable, as yet, to find out the actual title of this piece, but am contacting the artist for information. You can visit Leonie Gibbs' website to see more of her work, including sculptures in similar style to this one.
We are selling this due to having an already overcrowded - in fact full to overflowing - house! Prospective buyers are welcome to come and see the sculpture without any commitment.
This is an extremely heavy piece! The price includes UK mainland courier delivery.
Please do not hesitate to ask, if you have any questions.
