This very rare pewter tankard depicts a Cock and Pynot, which was the name of The Revolution House when it was the inn where the revolution was planned. The engraved inscription on the reverse tells the tale of the planning of this revolution and why it took place at this inn. In 1988 on the 300th anniversary of the Glorious Revolution, the current heir to the throne, Prince Charles, was in attendance at the Revolution House in Old Whittington, Chesterfield. The above, limited edition, tankards were sold to the local population and collectors. A quality product, in very good condition and made in England.
