The photos above are from the original programme, which has been sold, although the scans are scanned from the programme in colour.
The scan is an accurate electronic copy of the complete programme cover to cover, including all adverts etc.
The sets for Seraglio were interesting with a gilded cage backed by mirrors for the Seraglio and the costumes were 16th Century.
The sets were not cluttered and was effective in their simplicity.
The difficult arias in this opera were managed well by Lucy Hall as Constanze.
The orchestral playing by the English Touring Opera orchestra was excellent, conducted by John Andrews, along with the singing with John-Colyn Gyeantey as Belmonte, Richard Pinkstone as Pedrillo, Matthew Stiff as Osmin, Lucy Hall as Constanze and Alex Andreaou as Pasha Selim in speaking part.
The production was sung in English translation by Andrew Porter, along with the spoken dialogue.
