This performance received mixed reviews when first performed in 1995, as introducing a modern interpretation of Swan Lake with a male swan.
The sets were a mixture of traditional and modern, with a real moon with craters shown this time.
There was even a pastiche of the famous Covent Garden auditorium stage for the Opera scene.
The costumes were a mixture of older and 1950's.
The orchestral playing conducted by Benjamin Pope was excellent, along with the modern style dancing, including all of the male swans.
