This performance received mixed reviews and comparisons with the last ROH Swan Lake.
Has the Russian happy ending with both Odette and Prince Siegfried not dying, unlike the more usual tragic endings given in performances in the west.
The sets were theatrical and the palace was given a medieval setting.
The lighting was excellent The orchestral playing by the English National Opera was excellent, along with the dancing, including Alexander Volchkov, Denis Rodkin and Kimin Kim as Prince Siegfried and Irina Kolesnikova, Yulia Stephanova and Margarita Avdeeva as Odette/Odile.
