1) 1949 “Motor Cycling” hardback book “Tuning for Speed” 160 pages on tuning a motorcycle, chapters on timing, magnetos, maintenance of racing carbs, hard & soft spark plugs etc. Great adverts - Burman gearboxes, KLG Plugs BTH Mags & Vincent Black Shadow. Pages in excellent condition, albeit hardback cover a little grubby, not surprising considering it is 70 years old.

2) Circa 1939? Similar book to above, from “Motor Cycling” stable. “Speed & How to Obtain it” hard back book of 160 pages covering a lot more tech issues Thermo Dynamics, Mechanical Losses, Balance & Supercharging. Can't see print date, adverts for Ariel Square Four with test report date of 1938 & a girder fork Triumph Speed Twin, likely to date this around 1939, making it 81 years old. Pages clean & book in very good condition. £14.00
3) 1948 “Motor Cycle” hardback book titled “Speed, from your Motorcycle`” a true guide to tuning your bike, approx 155 pages covering Thermodynamics, Gas Flow, Fuels, Supercharging, Oils & Lubrication, Formula etc. Pages in good condition albeit the spline tape is missing. Book sports interesting adverts - AJS “The Race Bred Motorcycle”, Velocette, Ariel & Norton etc. & an interesting pink Lodge Spark Plug advert.
