The photos above are from the original programme, which has been sold, although the scans are scanned from the programme in colour.
The sets were exotic with a large crescent moon and galaxy for the Queen of the Night famous aria. The tests had a carmin red for the fire and light blue for the water.
The snake at the beginning was moved around and looked fierce. The costumes were exotic, although it was rather spoilt by having Papagena dressed as in contemporary dress.
The orchestral playing by the Royal Opera House orchestra conducted by Leo Hussaiin, was excellent, along with the singing with Bejamin Hulett as Tamino, Vito Priante as Papageno, Yaritza Veliz as Papagena, Tuuli Takala and Christina Poulitsi as the Queen of the Night, Andreas Bauer Kanabas as Sarastro and Rodell Rosell as Monostatos.
