This revival production had interesting theatrical sets in yellow hues.

Scene 1 had a Ruritanian style set with a baroque church front and a cookoo clock house with blue sky in Sound of Music Salzburg pastiche style.

The same scene was also used in Act III for the celebratory ending with twinking lights for stars in the evening sky.

The costumes were Ruritanian peasant style and there were some interesting props especially in the workshop of Dr. Coppelius in Act II.

There was an interesting large old fashioned style record book used by Dr. Coppelius.

There were also excellent puppets played by the performers, including a Chinese Mandarin puppet, two solders in medieval armour, and a Scottish kilted puppet, as well as Coppelia herself.

The puppet imitation movements by the performers were also superb to the accompaniment of the clockwork style music.

The orchestral playing by the Royal Opera House orchestra was excellent, conducted by Tom Seligman along with the dancing, including Yuhui Choe as Swanhilde, Luca Acri as Franz, Philip Mosley as Dr Coppelius, Bomin Kim as Coppelia and other performers of the Royal Ballet.
