Carved Hardwood

An Unusual Antique 18th or 19th Century Reverse Carved HardWood Mould of
Hunting related things such as; a Crop & horn, a Horse & a Dog.
I don't know what hardwood it is but it's a hard wood & it has a very fine grain. Some of the bark is still present on the edges. I suspect the shiny finish in parts was to stop substances from sticking to it.
I suspect it might be for clay or some form of plaster.
A lovely little item & very tactile.
It's a funny shape but approx just over 7 1/4" long & just under 5" wide at its longest points & just over 1" thick.
It may benefit from some oil or wax, as it doesn't look like it's been touched for a long long time.
