The current production is from the Paris Opera where it was performed earlier this year.
It is set in the 1950's with some period cars on site.
The first act opens with Don Pasquale in a dressing gown.
There is also a neon lighting stage contraption, which is typical of the Paris Opera productions, and also use of film montage, again a feature of Paris Opera productions, which both the Royal Opera House and the Coliseum seem to be incorporating into quite a number of their productions.
Norina also wears some glamorous gowns, including a striking red one when wanting to go out for the evening to the theatre, much to the consternation of Don Pasquale.
The orchestral playing by the Royal Opera House orchestra conducted by Evelino Pido, was excellent, along with the singing with Bryan Terfel as Don Pasquale, Markus Werba as Dr Malatesta, Ioan Hotea as Ernesto and Olga Peretyatko as Norina.
