Not to be confused with smaller cheaper kits, this is a BERGEN 131 Piece Kit (No. 2536) currently selling on Amazon for £42.95. This thread repair kit contains 5 x Brand New Drills, 5 x Brand New Break Pin Tools, 5 x Brand New Installation Tools, 110 Brand New Thread Inserts and 1 x Brand New Hexagon Allen Key.
The kit was purchased as an alternative method of repairing a badly worn and oversize thread in an aluminium motorcycle engine, but the project was sold before completion. The kit was therefore never used and has sat in my workshop ever since and it may as well go to someone who needs it.
The instruction sheet within the box mentions the ability to repair up to 12mm and the ability to repair a spark plug thread using “the special Spark Plug Tap”.
