Hard backed loose leaf guide book covering 100 walks in England, Wales and Scotland covers well know and not so well know places to observe the wealth and variety of Britain's trees, flowers, animals, birds and insects. Route descriptions, specially prepared maps and photographs are accompanied by the text of professional naturalists who describe the habitats and the specialities to look out for. 18 of the walks have been given extra coverage because of their outstanding interest for nature-lovers and the book is in loose-leaf form so that individual pages can be removed and taken on walks. There is a plastic folder to hold the individual walks when in use.
The book was bought new many years ago (published 1991) but has never been used and has sitting on my bookshelf for all the time I have owned it. It is in overall excellent condition, with some minor very wear along the edge of the spine and some slight yellowing of the paper, as is typical with older books.
