Preview of the first image of SCALE MODEL BUS: 1930s WEST RIDING LEYLAND TS8.

Advert Description

As the company's name suggests, it operated in the West Riding of Yorkshire and was based in Wakefield.

It had a preference for Leyland vehicles which were durable and well suited to the demands of the local terrain and gave many years of reliable service.

The company's green and cream livery shows up well on this 4mm scale model which is in its unopened box.

See photos of a specimen.

Through a series of takeovers and name changes over many years, the West Riding name has disappeared altogether and
it is now part of the ubiquitous German owned Arriva.
