This is a Tender perennial best overwintered in doors or a conservatory, greenhouse. Feed fortnightly through the growing season.
Widely used in cooking for the swollen base of its edible stems, lemon grass makes a fountain of gently arching foliage. Due to its tropical origins, this herb cannot stand frost, so should be grown in a container allowing it to be moved indoors after spending summer outdoors in a sunny position. They will need to be potted on into a larger pot, and will need watering in, they should give you plenty of stems and keep growing for many years
