Advert Description
An Antique Seascape Oil Painting on Board.
It's mounted in its original frame, which looks a bit tatty but I prefer to keep items in their original frames. I suspect it was originally gold guilt or gold painted on solid oak.
In expected used condition for an item of this age. There is a little nick to the right hand side. The frame has had a few knocks & scratches. The painting itself is bowed in places as it's painted on some sort of old black / grey board.
It was purchased from an antique shop in St Ives many years ago.
The wave texture's great.
It is approx 25 1/4" by 26" on the outter most parts of the frame.
It will benefit from a clean.
The signature looks like "W. K. Knight".
